Following yesterday’s biggest single-day jump in four months, the spot rupee started this morning on a cautious note at 66.71 as against the US dollar.
On Thursday, the domestic currency gained 36 paise to close art 66.66.
Right now, the spot rupee is quoted at 66.71 – down 4 paise.
Meanwhile, September currency futures are trading at 66.72 per dollar.
The counter has seen trades of around 1,26,105 contracts in morning deals.
Compared to the European-currency, the Indian rupee has advanced 22 paise at 74.69.
